Winner of the 2024 Businessperson of the Year for the WMHCC Gala!

Yesterday I was honored to receive the Businessperson of the Year Award from The West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. To say that I was all in my feelings is an understatement as I had my family visiting from Houston, my husband, children and amazingly supportive friends there to support me.

It’s humbling to be recognized for all the work I have done in my community and now through my business. As I reflect on all of the work that I have done, it’s all centered on bringing people together, being inclusive, and making space for people to share their cultures and celebrate their identities. Now my business is the vessel that I channel my values through. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners! It was truly an amazing night of celebration of all the hard work and contributions Latino entrepreneurs have in West Michigan.

I want to give a special shout out to my sister friend Kavy Lenon for winning the Building Bridges Award. She is the definition of someone who is “selfless” and who goes above and beyond her work duties to create opportunities for entrepreneurs. Thank you to the WMHCC and to each individual who nominated me.

Thank you for your support and for seeing me as someone worthy of such recognition. Remember to look for our products at your local Lakeshore and Grand Rapids Meijer stores.
